Tidbits

Touchstone's blog has some interesting tidbits. First on same sex "marriage" there is a link to a nice brief article which emphasizes how effective opposition to the legitimation of same sex couplings can come only from presenting a positive view of marriage based on 1) procreation and 2) complementary sex roles between men and women. (We can have a disagreement about which is 1 and which is 2, but they've both got to be there.)

There is another piece with some comments on the mindset behind the annoying revivalist cliches, “I just don’t have a peace about it” or “Let me pray about it,” and its roots in "evangelical" (of course he really means revivalist) "effeminacy."

Finally there's some apposite comments for the Monday after Trinity Sunday, on Jesus-monism and anti-Trinitarianism.
